The thirsty traveler is up for another getaway adventure somewhere in the Queen City of the South. Oh Cebu, you are just perfect for the first of summer. Anyone looking for an awesome summer destination in the country? I guarantee you that this place is gonna be worth the stay. Here is my Travel Diary Adventures DAY 1!

And we have just arrived! Hello mandatory shot at Mactan Cebu International Airport.

I traveled along with my family, my aunts from my mother's side, my cousins, and my boyfriend. It really makes me happy that these people love adventures as much as I do too. And one thing I've learned from them is that nature is always a good idea. My cousins and I gushed with excitement as we waited for 10:30am to strike so we could take a glimpse already of the place we've been always wanting to go to. I feel thrilled too because aside from the fact that I'm with my family, it's my first plane ride and travel outside the city with my boyfriend, Karl Anton. Here goes the happy days!

With my fellow explorers!

It's a good thing I brought my Jessica sunnies with me from Sunnies By Charlie!

We headed to Cafe Cesario to have brunch before heading to our destination. While waiting, we enjoyed ourselves with a few chitchats and learned a few camera tips from our photographer. Haha! Our aunts also oriented us for the day's itinerary. I bet they were just as excited as us too!

"Travel, in the younger sort, is a part of education; in the elder, a part of experience." -Francis Bacon

We left the restaurant with happy tummies and headed just in time back at the airport where our ride was already waiting. And now, this is the part where our smiles almost reach our ears, our cameras ready to shutter and our breaths about to be taken away...

Well, hello there summer paradise!

It really is how it is in the website photos! Oh wait, I was wrong, it's even more spectacular when you see it for yourself and be actually there.

We all gushed in unison at the sight. Say hello to Plantation Bay Resort and Spa where as their slogan says, 'Not just a resort, but an experience.' I know that just by looking at the place, I won't be able to finish enjoying everything in one day so yes, I might as well take advantage of what's right in front of me now.

They actually have lots of rooms to choose from and each room has a view that you would definitely love waking up to. Don't worry, I'll post the link of the site where you could know more about the place and how to contact them later on. Ideally, of course, we chose two family rooms. There's even a balcony where it's great to sit there at night and just sigh at the beauty of the place with the people you love.

Taking a tour around the place with their oh-so-friendly staff

I definitely loved how the staff accommodated us from the moment we arrived there and during the whole stay. That's two thumbs up for quality service! I wouldn't want to be much of a spoiler about the place so you got to find how beautiful it is for yourself.

Here's a clean shot of one of the family rooms. Cool beds, huh?

This is exactly what I need right now. I mean, who doesn't? I wouldn't mind trading the days of shopping and long nights of partying for this. I wonder why a getaway place like this somehow fixes everything.

"Not all those who wander are lost."

The fun continues at Plantation Bay's game room where we all had a chance to play Ping-pong, billiards, air-hockey, dart, etc. It was a lovely way to bond with my aunts and cousins too. Just by looking at some of the stolen shots I took, they seem to be really having an awesome time.

Game face ON for Tita Mhai-Mhai, the Pingpong Queen

"Ikaw na ang winner!" I said to him after beating me. Boohoo!
Lol, he made me win after that though. Haha!

The mother-child tandems do their thing! Ultimate bonding moment this is.

Lasaca beauties y'all!

The day just couldn't end there just yet. We headed to the part where the real kind of fun happens. I have to admit it was one hell of a productive afternoon. We were all able to do all these activities from 1pm-10pm. It's true what they say that you kinda forget about how much time has passed when you're having so much fun.

My dear Legolas. Hahaha!

"Katniss, ikaw ba yan o si Merida lang?"

Let's see if I can win the teddybeaaaaaaaar!

Hello muscle pain by tomorrow! Boy, that bow was heavy. And I have come to realize that archery AIN'T easy at all. I wonder how much practice J-Law had when she got that role.

"Make sure to collect moments, not things."

I smile to myself as I look at this beautiful photo of a family having fun under the sun. A shoutout to my uncle, Tito Gil Lasaca, who is currently in Texas and who we are all terribly missing right now. Wish you were here, Tito! We'll see each other again soon and there'll be more of like this to come.

We came to win... to fly... to conquer... to survive...

One of the best things about being here is that almost all the services are free. And the best thing about free stuff too is that, well, it's free. LOL!

Ooops! Well, someone's missing someone. Hahaha!

One relaxing late afternoon for the couple

So we decided to spend the night on the saltwater and pool. I was expecting for some really cold shizz but it was actually the right kind of temperature for me. They even have a mini jacuzzi-like part of the bay where steamy water with just the right amount of hotness is up. Super relaxing, don't you think? Wish I could post more photos with our night swimming but we were too busy enjoying the beauty of nature. Here I am, wishing that I could stay here longer.

While waiting for our dinner to be served, photo-op moment muna for us!

FOOD! Finally! The after-swimming feels, yes. We had supper at one of their prestigious restaurants, The Kilimanjaro Kafe. The setting of this restaurant is so romantic. It's actually located at the center of the many pools that encircle the place. I led the prayer and said a few words for our dear Tita Chona whose birthday just happened to be on this day too. She even got a blueberry cheesecake from them! Lucky her.

To sum everything up, we had a scrumptious meal tonight. Thank God. It has been quite a long day yet a really memorable one and it's just the first day. Couldn't wait for tomorrow! The adventure doesn't end here. Keep posted for Day 2! XOXO
