I don't even know where to begin describing this girl. If you've read from my previous blog posts, I've always been amazed by people who are into the arts. Sheena is not your typical chinita, she's more than a pretty face. She's talented and interesting, she's a girl who loves to take risks and as you read along, you're about to find out more.
Apart from the fact that we have the same course in College and we go to the same school, it's hard to not notice this lady. I stumbled upon her Instagram posts and realized that she's mostly into arts and travel. You can really tell that this girl knows her thing. From her artwork to her photographs, she obviously has the eye of an artist.
WHAT SHE DOES FOR FUN
Sheena shares that she is currently taking a break from practicing her profession as a nurse and focused on looking after her siblings since her parents worked abroad. Amazingly, she makes use of her free time by doing the thing she loves best. She paints on clothes or shoes, she doodles or makes these cute plushies, and the list goes on. It's ART. There are lots of things you could do with almost everything! (Wow. How I wish I had this talent too! *cries*)
Her freedom to create these things are just one of the many things I admire about this girl. Ideas and skills like this deserve to be recognized. I've read once that "Art is freedom. It is being able to bend things most people see as a straight line." And maybe that's what I've always admired about artists. They have their own perspective. They see things from a different point of view than what people usually see.
"I know it sounds childish but I've always loved Anime. Whenever I watch them on TV, I've always wanted to be like the characters that's why I've developed this love for drawing. This started when I was in elementary but I found a reason to stop because of how busy the Nursing profession was in college. I got back at this hobby when I came back from New York because I got bored, so I started to draw again. That's how it went and this is where it led me now." --Sheena
So maybe things have a way of coming back to us after all. In Sheena's experience, her love for Anime turned out to be her inspiration to draw. Although life sometimes gets in the way of things, her passion for art never seemed to leave her. She figured out she could do more things with this skill and judging from her work, you can tell that this girl really knows what works and what doesn't.
To prove that, here is my very first pair of shoes hand-painted by this exceptional lady. I was totally in awe at how she did it. It's exactly the way I want it to look. (P.S. too much The Legend of the Blue got me like...)

FASHION & TRAVEL DIARIES
Aside from her craft, this girl also loves to travel and she's very fashion-forward herself. Her Instagram feed obviously says it all. She can put on an outfit, basic or something Korean-inspired, she still looks awesome. So for girls who share the same love for Asian fashion, this girl is your girl!

This girl is living the good life indeed! From the Philippines to Japan to New York or whatever place that may be, she is the perfect example of a free spirit just living life to the fullest. From the looks of it, she has got an ace on her sleeve. There's no doubt that she can conquer heights with her talent and passion. Who knows? She might just start her own art studio anytime soon! An adventurous and brave heart like hers will take her to places!
