I'm back! Say hello to my first blog entry for the year 2018. It honestly feels good to write again after being on hiatus for almost half the
year. God, how fast time flies. My inspiration bottle has finally been refilled
and I’ve got tons to share during this somewhat of a hibernation. Remember how I’ve committed myself to
taking risks this year? I definitely took a big one just last week. So, what's next after changing my hairstyle? Here are my real thoughts on this new procedure, the pros and cons and the aftermath of it all.
Florals, pastel hues and nude palettes. The official collection launch of Spruce definitely gave me great aesthetic pleasure. For those who share the same love for femininity, I'm pretty sure you'll be raving about their new additions to the store, like I did.
Seven hours away from Cagayan de Oro City, a two-hour ferry ride from Surigao del Norte and an hour away from Siargao's main town, General Luna, you'll get to this one heck of a beaut. The journey may be lengthy but the destination left me captivated. But still, it doesn't mean the journey can't be fun. Pack up your speakers, swimwear and finger food. Let's get this started!

Let's cut the stereotyping and let a girl wear what she wants to wear. This year, I've dared myself to go experimental when it comes to fashion. I will not confine myself to wearing dresses, skirts and all girly outfits anymore. I've decided to go for more comfortable, stylish yet dapper looks. And since I'm an office girl and an ambitious law student, let's go through all that pressure in style.
"Self-love is not selfish. You cannot truly love another until you love yourself." Well, ain't that hugot right? But really, I'm gonna stop being melodramatic now. I just really needed a reason to express how important self-love is. It can be done in so many ways. For me, self-love means doing things that make you feel confident and happy in your own skin. I love to pamper myself, given that I usually have a stressful week. We all have our stressors and it's really important that we don't forget to take care of ourselves too.
Recognize the cozy interiors? Why, of course. It's one of those restaurants where families and friends could comfortably dine in, expect good service and enjoy all kinds of delicacies. I was pretty thrilled that I got invited to Roadhouse Cafe's VIP Dinner at Centrio Mall, Cagayan de Oro City. They were going to introduce new dishes which are now currently available on their menu.

So, what has basically dominated my closet? Gingham prints. This checkered trend has made a comeback in the world of fashion lately. It has also been widely used as a fashion statement since the late 40s and 60s. I'm digging how it could suddenly give one that fresh, youthful vibe. Honestly, it's not easy to pull off without looking like a picnic table cloth. (I bet I'm not the only one who thinks that way. Haha!) But with the right color and accessories, we can totally flaunt the modern-day gingham girl look.
So, I just went through one grueling midterm week in law school which explains the long hiatus. It seems like I could definitely use a drink or two. Perfect timing! Cagayan Town Center (CTC) has totally won me over again with a new posh enterprise -- SKY BAR. Last night, despite the rain, we raised our glasses to the freaking weekend and gave cheers to Sky Bar's VIP Night and Grand Opening.
If you have read my previous articles, you would have already known that CTC is the same place that brought to our city the famous Yakimix, April Nail Salon and Skinholics. That's just some, I can't wait to find out what other stuff they've got in store for us all.
Is it just me or are there really days when our pets just understand us more than most people do? It's amazing how they can sense what we're feeling sometimes. Just with their little gestures, they seem to make us smile so easily and they sort of make us forget those bad thoughts. They seem to make your troubles go away in an instant. That's why they always feel like family to me. But are our pets giving the love and attention that they deserve too? I know just the place where you could take them! *winks*
I smiled to myself as I held this piece of breakable figure in my hands. I was staring at my favorite character from Final Fantasy, Tifa Lockhart. Despite the fact that these collectibles are not as inexpensive as you might think and are rare to find, I missed my childhood. I miss my toy collections, my dolls, and the thought of being my imaginative self just by looking at this action figure. But do we really have to be kids to still be able to play with these toys?
They say, "A woman who cuts her hair is about to change her life." I don't know if everybody agrees with that but today, I would say that maybe it could. I'm giving myself a pat on the back for finally finding the time to do something with my hair. Lol. For the first time in a long time, I actually took a risk and tried something different with it. I refer to it is as one of a woman's #firstworldproblems. It's probably because changing your hair is no joke. It's your crowning glory, so everything you do with it is a risk. Hair doesn't make the woman but good hair definitely helps.
UNIQLO Lifewear has at long last made its way to the Golden City of Friendship! This lifewear apparel makes the simplest designs and manages to make anyone still look modernly elegant. Who doesn't want clothing that's light, comfortable and can easily be worn any day? I'm definitely all up for that.
Strikingly-cute cafes always seem to tickle my fancy ever since. Cafe-hopping has become a hobby for me. A couple of them have been sprouting out of nowhere in the city recently. So dope, right? You give me bad bad love but I love it, baby 💫 So just because I wanted a summer-y article before this month ends and because my camera is filled with beach trips, I've decided to write about one. What's this year's hottest swimwear piece? The one-piece, of course. One-pieces are a thing now.
New cafe alert, new cafe alert! I repeat. New cafe alert at the Xavier Square (beside Chingkeetea Uptown), Mastersons Avenue of Cagayan de Oro City. I just love coffeeshops and just about any place that allows you to chill, do your work or have catch up sessions with your friends. Good news for people living uptown or anyone who would want to avoid cafes that are usually full downtown (and the sweet tooth), this place is for you.
It's been four days from this event and the SM CDO Downtown fever is still on! Almost every road going to C.M. Recto Avenue or Osmeña Street is packed. Despite the traffic, Kagay-anons still managed to get to the SM Downtown Premier (even when they had to walk) like a boss. I have to give it to SM though. Their grand opening was beyond successful! *claps*
