A TASTE OF PARIS

4:45 PM

Bonjour! Comment allez-vous?

So here it is, as promised. A lot of people messaged me as soon as I posted my recent travel photos where it showed the iconic Eiffel Tower and everything that spells P-A-R-I-S. Ever since I was a little girl, it's not a question that the City of Love has always been a dream destination. Ain't that true for almost every girl out there? I'd imagine myself in my beanie, coat and boots, eating croissants in a quaint café while marvelling at the beauty of the iron tower of France. Well, here's the thing, all that's possible in just two hours away from the Philippines.

Let me whisk you away to the Parisian Macau. As soon as I found out that another landmark like this has opened its gates in Macau last year, I knew I had to visit there again. Luckily, my boyfriend booked another trip for the both of us to Hong Kong and Macau as his gift on our special day. (This guy is seriously making all my dreams come true! 😍)

Macau is just a 1-hour ferry ride away from Hong Kong. It's our second time here but every visit still feels like the first! There's just something about this country that has got all the magical, medieval feels, in a good way though.

After walking through The Shoppes at the Venetian Macau (which was a feast for the eyes, I must say), we made our way to the Parisian Macau through a connecting route. These two landmarks are just a 7-minute walk away from each other. The feeling was surreal when we got to the Parisian. Though it's not the real thing yet, there's just so much #feels when I saw the replica of the Eiffel Tower.

Every part of the Parisian was carefully designed and widely inspired by Paris indeed. Each side or wall you look at, there's just so many details. If you're into art, you're definitely in for a treat. Almost every area of the place would instantly dazzle your eyes and of course, it's instagrammable everywhere! (As you can see, I'm making every moment count with my OOTDs! Haha!)

Since this was the highlight of our Macau trip, we intended to make our stay worthwhile by going up to the Eiffel tower ourselves and see the view of the city. Oh yes, YOU CAN! What awaits you when you get to the observation deck on the 7th and 37th floor is the best part. The Eiffel Tower ticket costs MOP 100 for adults and MOP 80 for kids (1 MOP = 6 PHP). Believe me, it's worth it!

The squad and I met a lot of characters on the way and this was definitely one of the most memorable parts for me! I had fun guessing who they were and their whole approach and all really made me feel like I was in Paris. I loved playing along! Aaah, everything about this place made me want to visit the real Paris even more. (Someday, someday!)

Your ticket will also take you on an elevator ride to the 37th floor where a spectacular view will make you leap with excitement. Up there, you'll see the beauty of the hotel and Macau itself. Though the transparent view of the elevator got my legs shaking again, my heart was shaking with happiness at the same time. What a wonderful world!

We thought it was over but the fun doesn't end there yet. New faces kept on showing up every now and then. Each person had a part to play and you'd really be entertained especially with the Mime artists! If you're lucky and you'd get to chance upon this cartoonist, go and have your face drawn. You'll be amazed! And oh yeah, it's for FREE! Plus, who doesn't want a souvenir from this place, right?

I think Ms. Mime here thought Ton was too weird though. Anyways, this place is open till 11 in the evening. You could also stay for the light show which starts at 6pm except for Tuesdays.
💗

Overall, my friends and I really did have an unforgettable adventure. This place is something you must NOT miss when you visit Macau. I'm guessing it's like a teaser for the real deal. Feel free to comment down below or e-mail me if you have more questions. I'd be happy to answer them. I hope you'll have a great time here.

And here's to hoping it's gonna be in the City of Love someday, too.
Au revoir!
