FASHION FRENZY AT MAGS CDO SM DOWNTOWN PREMIER

Just recently, we've witnessed the opening of another shopping complex -- the SM CDO Downtown Premier. I've been invited to the exclusive preview for media influencers of this favored clothing line in the city, MAGS. We've got the regal Ms. Alice Dixson on the menu, new trendy clothes to watch out for and life lessons we can all take note of. Learn more about the humble beginnings of this homegrown fashion brand as you read along.

The first part of the opening started around 10am. Mr. Mark Pagaspas, the head marketing officer, was happy enough to share the humble beginnings of one of the most successful brands in the city. MAGS is derived from the name of the shop owner, Mags C. Cue. This fashionista opened her first boutique in Limketkai Mall where everything started. I remember it was next to What A Girl Wants back then. Two of my most go-to shops in that mall!
In the fashion world where it's usually a competition, style marques either rise or they don't make it. Eventually, this brand made its way through it all. It doesn't mean there weren't any downsides to this story, in fact, there are but they endured it all. Soon enough, MAGS became a trending shopping place. With patience and dedication, it earned its mark in Cagayan de Oro City.

I was inspired by the fact that Ms. Mags never gave up on this dream of hers. It has always been my childhood dream to engage into a fashion-related field such as becoming a fashion designer and own a clothing line. I know, I'm a big dreamer, right? But hey, it's better to be ambitious than have no ambition at all, so they say.

If there's one word that can simplify everything about this store, it's CLASSY. MAGS caters to all types of sizes and fashion categories. I definitely love the set-up here at the SM Premier as it is very minimal and elegant.
After having a scrumptious lunch at Mesa, we came back in the afternoon for the ribbon-cutting part. We were all gushing as we waited for the arrival of one of the shop's newest endorser, Ms. Alice Dixson, who happens to one of the most-noted actresses of Philippine films and a former beauty queen. I took a quick peek outside and yes, as expected, the place was already swarming with people.

It was a night to remember once again. Congratulations to Mags, her staff, and the people behind this sweet success!
To conclude, I've learned from her story how believing in one's self is a key ingredient to success. She had a wonderful support group and she knew how to handle people well. And right now, you can see this fashion line being worn by celebrities, influencers, notable people, and even featured in newspapers and magazines. I think what made her one little shop blossom to twenty times more is because of her unflinching determination. Truly, life is always about taking risks or nothing.
