So, I just went through one grueling midterm week in law school which explains the long hiatus. It seems like I could definitely use a drink or two. Perfect timing! Cagayan Town Center (CTC) has totally won me over again with a new posh enterprise -- SKY BAR. Last night, despite the rain, we raised our glasses to the freaking weekend and gave cheers to Sky Bar's VIP Night and Grand Opening. 

If you have read my previous articles, you would have already known that CTC is the same place that brought to our city the famous Yakimix, April Nail Salon and Skinholics. That's just some, I can't wait to find out what other stuff they've got in store for us all.

Ton and I were excited on our way here to witness the grand opening of Sky Bar. The VIP Night was hosted by Cindy Obenita and R-Funk, plus it was full of familiar faces and most of the city's local personalities. Thankfully the rain stopped! The night went on and the guests were serenaded by acoustic songs and of course, what's a bar without the drinks? A couple of non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks were served right after.

If you've visited this certain place in Cebu, you would be reminded a lot of the popular French-inspired place, the La Vie Parisienne. But to contrast both places, La Vie Parisienne has more of the garden-inspired ambiance which explains the grass and synthetic cherry blossom trees. At Sky Bar, there's a good view of the city lights and the sunset or night sky, it's more of a bar than a wine restaurant, plus you don't have to take a plane to Cebu to take good instagrammable photos! (Yes, the place is certainly perfect for your OOTDs, that's for sure!) 



The place was literally lit. In white and magenta lights, combined with gold-like ornamentation and accompanied by the evening breeze, you'll definitely want to bring your friends here for a catch-up over cocktails.

Looks like my forecast for the night was way accurate. It's a tequila sunrise cocktail kind of night for me. The baristas were nice enough to choose a drink for me. Tequila, orange juice and grenadine syrup was their pick. (Tequila probably won't fix your problems but it's worth a shot! Lol 😛)


Sky Bar is a place I would definitely bring my squad to because of three things. It's a cool area to take photos at (a perfect place to go social drinking), it's not difficult to locate (hey, it's just a few steps away from Centrio Ayala Mall or Graphics) and they have a spacious parking area, and lastly, a bar that's set outdoors would be cool for a change. Rooftop feels, baby!
