IT'S PAMPER TIME AT SKINHOLICS

"Self-love is not selfish. You cannot truly love another until you love yourself." Well, ain't that hugot right? But really, I'm gonna stop being melodramatic now. I just really needed a reason to express how important self-love is. It can be done in so many ways. For me, self-love means doing things that make you feel confident and happy in your own skin. I love to pamper myself, given that I usually have a stressful week. We all have our stressors and it's really important that we don't forget to take care of ourselves too.

Speaking of stressors, I'm sure most of us are aware of what it does to our skin. I wasn't born with poreless, flawless skin. How I wish! (Who can relate? Lol) That gives me enough reason to take care of it even more. Sleepless nights, not-so-nutritious food and alcohol can really cause breakouts that are terrible. So in line with my self-love advocacy, I'm sharing to you how we can all take care of our skin by following a good skin regimen at a reliable skin clinic. Beautiful skin doesn't always measure beauty but it surely does make a difference.

Skinholics is where I would suggest to get yourself some pamper time. If you've read my previous article on this place, I would still say that they have been consistent with their awesome services.

Some of the things I've learned when it comes to taking care of your skin are:

1. ALWAYS WASH YOUR FACE BEFORE SLEEPING
2. CLEANSE, TONE, MOISTURIZE!
3. DON'T LEAVE HOME WITHOUT SUNSCREEN (with at least spf 15)

It's great to know that these are all available at Skinholics. Your soap depends on your skin problem and your skin type. They have soaps that target acne, for whitening and for skin firming. One of my favorite products is their Vitamin C serum which I put on my face every night. I just love it because it feels like my skin has been moisturized and has an instant glow the next day. Having oily skin, moisturizers aren't really my cup of tea, so it's a good thing they have a serum that actually works like a moisturizer.

As always, I love the ambience of this place every time I come here. The staff are super nice and you can be assured that the area is squeaky clean and aromatic. After my successful electrocautery as mentioned in my other blog post, they let me try Radio Frequency for the face. I've always been curious about it. Basically, it's a non-invasive procedure made for skin-tightening, toning and fat-melting using low-heated radio frequency machines. Of course, for a girl having chubby cheeks, a little toning would be interesting. It doesn't really lose the fat but it makes those areas look more prominent.

Obviously, these aren't the most flattering photos here. Haha! But for review purposes, may I just say that after the procedure, there were minimal changes. I didn't expect any big changes because usually, very visible results require at least six sessions. For my first session, it was already good and it wasn't even painful at all.

And if I may suggest, if you plan on getting a facial, do try their Intensive Whitening Facial. I had it three weeks after the RF procedure and I absolutely love this because of the glow you get right after. To be honest, there really is a noticeable change after having it. It really pays to take care of your skin because even people are going to start noticing it. I love the fact that I can leave home without putting any makeup on my face when I'm in a hurry. (But of course not without kilay on... because kilay is life!)

It's good to make them wonder sometimes how you still manage to look fresh despite that long, busy week. (Repeat after me: Stressed, depressed, but well-dressed... and still fresh! Lol 😆)

Literally with just kilay on

💗

But best of all, what matters most is how you feel about yourself. Self-care is always important. Take care of yourself on the outside as much as you do on the inside. Relax, pamper yourself, have some "me time". Simply DO YOU.

Visit Skinholics at the 2nd level of Cagayan Town Center now and let me know how it's working for you! 😏
